Taylor beach trip 2009

balcony view

This year was the start to an annual Taylor family beach trip!  We had so much fun spending time with Nana P and Paw-Paw Kelly at Myrtle Beach!  We stayed at a resort that had lots of fun pools and Ella LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the silly submarine pool and lazy river!  She would beg every night to go to the “lazy pool” and “hot pool” (jacuzzi).  Mommy didn’t mind the lazy pool either…it was heated and was very relaxing!!  The weather was great and the beach wasn’t crowded…it was just perfect!  The beach was full of seashells and Ella tried picking up every shell on the beach.  We came home with buckets full of seashells.  I’ve never seen so many in all my years at the beach!  Ella had so much fun with Nana P & Paw-Paw Kelly and I think they enjoyed her too :)  She’s quite the entertainer these days!

The Silly Submarine

silly submarineElla LOVED the silly submarine pool!  It was a 1 foot pool that had all kinds of water fun!  There were buckets that dumped water into the pool, water umbrellas, and the HUGE submarine that shot water all over you.  It was so much fun and perfect for little ones.

 Off to the Lazy Pool…

ella in lazy river Ella floating along in her very own float.  We had to go to several Wings stores to find one because they didn’t have any little floats at the resort.  She didn’t like sharing a float with us the first night she wanted her own!  So independent at 2!!

ella in mb room Every morning Ella would wake up and immediately pull open the curtains and say “Look!  It’s the ocean!”

Aquarium

jelly fish The jelly fish were so pretty!  I definitely don’t want to meet one outside of an aquarium but they are amazing animals!

shark2 And I really hope we never meet one of these guys in the ocean!!  Look at those teeth!!!  Ella loved looking for the sharks in the aquarium.  They would swim over us and it was such an uneasy feeling.  This looks like one mean dude!
