Sea World

We spent our last day in Florida at Sea World.  When we were leaving Disney World, we told Ella we were going to go see whales.  She crossed her arms and looked at Mimi and said, “I don’t want to go see a stinkin’ whale!  I want to go home!”  After being away from home for a week, she was ready to get back!  But we convinced her that she would like the whales and then after that we were heading back to North Carolina!  She loved all the shows and even the “stinkin’ whale.”

There’s that “stinkin’ whale” Shamu!  Ella says some of the funniest things :)

The dolphin show was my favorite!

The Seymore & Clyde show was funny!  The guy below accidently fell into a pool of water at the front of their stage.  When he went to get out, his pants fell down in the back and the whole audience saw his tail.  It was hilarious!

Mimi and Daddy wanted to ride the new Manta roller coaster so me, Paw-Paw Jeff and Ella went to feed the dolphins.  Ella wanted to touch the dolphins but didn’t want to touch the fish to feed them with…she doesn’t like getting her hands dirty :)  (She gets that from me…the fish grossed me out too!)

We spent our first and last day at Disney World at the Animal Kingdom park.  Because of the rain, we didn’t get to spend our entire first day there and we all wanted to go back.  The safari was my favorite ride…which probably had something to do with the fact that there wasn’t much I could ride :)  I highly recommend The Lion King and Finding Nemo shows which were both awesome!!!  Ella also got to experience her first 3-D show, It’s Tough to be a Bug.”  At first, she didn’t know what to think and was uneasy about wearing the glasses but once she realized the bugs were not real she was okay!  She now tells us that it’s tough to be a bug because she stomps them :)

We were standing in front of the Tree of Life.  It has the most amazing carvings of animals in the tree trunk.

In Dinoland, they had a Triceratops Spin ride that Ella rode numerous times.  The line was really short so she would get off and get back in line to ride again.  You could adjust the height your dinosaur would go and of course she wanted to go higher!

Right before the parade, it came a down pour and Ella was asleep.  Mimi joined her under the umbrella and the rest of us stood in the rain in our ponchos.  Luckily, the rain stopped long enough for the parade but started pouring right after that!

On our second trip to Animal Kingdom, Ella was begging to ride Dumbo.  However, Dumbo is at Magic Kingdom and you have to wait 1 hour or more just to ride for a little over a minute.  So, we thought since the Triceratops Spin was practically the same ride that would do.  OH NO…when she saw it she said, “That’s NOT Dumbo!  That’s a Dinosaur!”  Paw-Paw tried to tell her it was the same thing but she wasn’t buying it.  He told her it was “Jimbo” who was Dumbo’s brother.  Haha!!  Eventually, she accepted Jimbo and decided to ride.  After a couple rides, she was satisfied!  So, meet “Jimbo,” Dumbo’s dinosaur brother…

tired ella

After a week of Disney fun, Ella was worn out!  So was her Mommy!!  I have to admit that I was the most tired I’ve ever been!  My feet had traveled what seemed like hundreds of miles…I’m shocked my Rainbows survived :)
