Happy 3rd Birthday, Ella!

I can’t believe we are already celebrating Ella’s 3rd birthday!  It seems like it was yesterday when we were celebrating her 1st birthday!  It’s amazing how fast they grow up!  My baby is now a little girl! 

We had so much fun planning Ella’s flip flop pool party :)  She LOVES flip flops so it was the perfect theme for her party!  The weather here has been miserable for the last couple weeks with temperatures soaring into the high 90s!  So, a pool party on a 90+ degree day was perfect!  The kids had a blast…it was even hard to convince them to get out of the pool for cake and ice cream.  We owe a very, very special THANK YOU to Aunt Candy and Uncle David for letting us use their pool!!

Future Picasso

Tonight before bed, Ella wanted to draw on her art easel.  She decided to draw a picture of me!  It is by far my favorite picture of me ever!!!  She was so proud of herself!!

Prayer Request

I wanted to take a minute to ask everyone to please pray for mine and Ella’s Papa Carl.  On Tuesday, he was airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center after being ran over by his truck.  He stopped at the car wash to vacuum out his truck when it began to roll which knocked him down and eventually ran over him.  He has lots of boo-boos :(  We took Ella to visit him yesterday and she put a band-aid on him and kissed his boo-boos to make him feel all better!  He’s got a long recovery ahead of him but he’s a fighter and I know a good little nurse that will help take good care of him!  We’ve got lots of band-aids to take care of all his boo-boos!  Get well soon, Papa Carl!!   We love you!!!!!

In Full Bloom

My favorite flowers are my hydrangeas!  I look forward to them blooming every year!  They are the brightest blue they’ve ever been and I think it has something to do with “my little green thumb!”  She loves to fill the watering can up with water (all by herself, of course!) and water the hydrangeas and the junipers in the flower bed beside our house.  The watering can weighs more than she does when it’s full but she tries her best to pick it up and water everything in sight!  The bushes are already FULL of bright blue blooms so we clipped a few and brought them inside to enjoy :)
