This past Saturday, we went to Bryson City to ride the Great Smoky Mountain Railway for the “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” train ride and pumpkin patch trip. Ella was so excited all week about getting to ride the “big train!” Uncle Matt and Aunt Ashley went with us and helped make the day even more special for Ella. They are just crazy about her and she LOVES them so much!! The weather was beautiful and the fall mountain colors were breathtaking!!
The Bryson City depot is right in the middle of a charming little town with such beautiful views of the mountains!!
The red leaves on these trees right outside the depot were beautiful!!! I couldn’t help but take a picture!

The “BIG TRAIN!” Ella was so excited when she saw it and couldn’t wait to get aboard!
Ella ready for the train to start moving!
You could see the excitement written all over Ella’s face as the train whistle blew and we were on our way to the pumpkin patch! On the way there, they played a narration of “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” on the train.

We were greeted by Snoopy, Charlie Brown & Lucy
It took Ella a little while to warm up to the “big people” but finally she gave Lucy a high-five!
Uncle Matt helped Ella roast marshmallows…she liked the marshmallow but didn’t want the sticky on her hands!!
They had so many activities for the kids at the pumpkin patch. They had a bounce house, hay rides, miniature train ride, trick-or-treating, apple bobbing, marshmallow roasting, live children’s music, face painting, coloring station, and lots of other fun activities!
We had so much fun riding the “big train” and visiting Charlie Brown’s pumpkin patch!! Ella was so tired that she could hardly hold her head up on the train ride back. It was a fun-filled, beautiful day hanging out with the Peanuts!!
