Cory and I decided to sleep in on Friday and give our feet just a little bit longer to rest. The rest of our gang headed out bright and early to take in more history and experience the Metro during morning rush hour! Matt called us and told us NOT to take the Metro but to walk instead...was he crazy?! He said if it hadn't been for Ashley they would still be on the Metro trying to figure out where the heck they were! Haha!! My Dad showed my Mom just how much he loved her by getting squashed in the doors trying to get her on before it took off. Luckily, when it was our turn to experience the Metro for the first time the rush had calmed down but it was still challenging trying to get a stroller on while people were running you over trying to get off. Ella LOVED the Metro or the "Choo-choo train" as she called it. Everyone got a kick out of her calling it a choo-choo train. She would get so excited and yell "train! train!" when it would pull into the station. With a little assistance from a VERY nice Metro employee, we managed to get our tickets and to our stop with no problems. And once we got the hang of the Metro, it was much better than walking!! Piece of advice: don't stop walking even if you don't know where you are going...they will run you over!!! Look for a "You are Here" sign and then stop! We spent the day at the Holocaust Museum, the various war memorials, Lincoln Memorial, and Arlington National Cemetary.

Pulling Ella up the HUGE hill we had to walk up instead of taking the tour bus?! What were we thinking?! By this point, I think I walked enough to lose a whole pants size!

Ella saw me wear my glasses up on my head so she started putting hers on top of her head too.

Ella looks so comfortable in her stroller. Cory and I both look like we're in pain!!!
