So Sweet

Today I accidently took Sophie to work with me in my purse.  It was like a ZOO at work so it was funny when I pulled a giraffe out of my bag…haha!!  When I got home this evening, I gave Evan his Sophie and he smiled from ear to ear!  A few minutes later, I went to check on him and I found him sleeping with Sophie all snuggled up to him.  So sweet…I just want to squeeze him!

Sun-shiny Weekend

This weekend was BEAUTIFUL!  67 degrees and lots of sunshine…oh how it made me want to get out the sunscreen and flip flops!  I have a bad case of SPRING FEVER now!!!!  Since it’s still January, I’m afraid it was just Mother Nature teasing us!

We got to spend a little time outside soaking up some sunshine and getting some much needed Vitamin D!!  (side note:  I’ve been reading a lot about the benefits of Vitamin D and since then all Taylor Family members are getting supplements!)  Evan loved being outside!  He got to look around at everything he’s been seeing in fast motion for months as we run inside to get out of the cold.  I didn’t have my camera with me when we were outside so I didn’t get any pictures :(   Hopefully we’ll have another warm day to get outside again soon!

I didn’t get any outside pictures, but I did take a couple cute pictures before church this morning…

Evan 4 Months Old

Is it possible that another month has already come and gone?!  Evan, I can’t believe how much you’ve grown this month!

Evan at 4 months…

• You weigh in at 13 lbs and 7 oz (20 percentile), measure 25.5 inches long (25 percentile), and have a head circumference of 40.2 cm (5 percentile…you have a little bity head just like your sister did!)
• You are wearing size 2 diapers and size 3-6 month clothing.  I’ve started packing up clothes that you’ve outgrown and it’s so hard to believe that you were that small just a few months ago! 
• You are feeding every 3 to 4 hours and taking 5 to 6 ounces at a time.  You’ve started spitting up some after you eat so we’re frequently changing your outfit and ours.
• You are now sleeping like a champ!  Most nights you’re asleep by 9pm and you will sleep until 8 or 9 the next morning.  Mommy is LOVING the extra sleep :)
• You are rolling from your stomach to your back and from your back to your stomach.  Once you started rolling you caught on quick and now you’re all over the place.  You love playing on your play mat but we have to stay close by because before we know it you’re off rolling around in the floor!
• Your obsession with your hands continues.  We have to keep a paci in your mouth to keep those hands out.  You will try your best to get your whole hand in your mouth which gags you and then you spit up everywhere.  It most not bother you too bad because as soon as we get you cleaned up you do it again. 
• You’ve discovered your feet and try so hard to get to them.  It won’t be long and you’ll be trying to chew on them too! 
• When you get sleepy you rub your eyes.  You try so hard to fight sleep just like your sister!  You both are worried you’re going to miss something if you go to sleep.
• You smile and laugh all the time (except when I try to take your picture just like your sister!)  You have the sweetest smile…melts my heart every time!
• You are trying your best to talk!  The other day I laid you on the bed and you talked to me for 30 straight minutes.  You try so hard to talk to Ella, too!
• You love taking a bath!  It must relax you because you poop almost every time!I’ve learned to never put you in the bath tub with me (I learned the hard way!) 
• You are still a cuddle bug!  I could just sit all day and cuddle with you…and you would let me! 
• You are such a sweet and HAPPY baby!  Everybody that keeps you says that you are the best baby and Mommy agrees.  You are very laid back and only get upset when you wake up extremely hungry. 
• You have the cutest little patch of hair right on the top of your head and that’s about it :)  It gives you that “little old man” look…haha!!

New Love

Evan has a new LOVE and her name is Sophie…

Sophie made a very good first impression!  I think this relationship is going to last for a while!  Or until he bites her head off…haha!

Taylor Babies

I’ve been trying to “clean-up” my computer and transfer files to an external hard drive because my computer keeps saying it’s low on memory.  Could it possibly be due to the 3,000+ pictures?!  This has been an on-going project because just as soon as I transfer pictures I take and download more.  But anyway…back to my point…I found lots of pictures of Ella when she was Evan’s age so I thought I would do some comparisons. 

Not Crazy, But Lazy…

…that’s what our weekend was and it was much needed!  We spent all day Saturday in our pajamas :)  I think we’re all entitled to a lazy day every now and then.  Most weekends, we are wide open running from here to there and rarely get to sit down for a minute.  We enjoyed the break or at least Mommy did!  We even all took a nap at the same time!  This is a rare occurrence in our house!  I think we all needed the rest to recharge.

These aren’t the best quality pictures because they were quick, grab the camera, and shoot pictures…but none the less, they are priceless…

 Sunday nap time with Mimi

On Saturday night, it was just me and the kids at home.  I was feeding Evan and heard Ella messing around in the refrigerator.  I asked her what she was doing and she said getting some juice.  10+ minutes past and I found Ella with this…

  …and a Mtn Dew!  And it was after 8pm!  Needless to say, it was almost midnight before I got her to close her eyes and even think about going to sleep!  It was a LONG night!  I was so thankful for the naps we took earlier in the day :)
