9 Months Old

If I've said it once, I've said it a million times but it is so hard to believe how fast Ella is growing! In just 3 short months, we'll be celebrating Ella's first birthday! This month has been full of fun and exciting new adventures around our house! Ella is now turbo crawling and can get where ever she needs to go and FAST! She's also pulling up on everything and would rather stand up than sit. We've had a few bumps and bruises as a result of Ella's bravery! I say "we" because not only has Ella bumped her head but she has head-butted us and nearly blacked our eyes. She's also learned to pinch and loves to find skin folds to practice her new skill. Since I'm still carrying around a few extra "baby weight" pounds, she's found lots of places to pinch :) Ella has also added a few new words to her vocabulary, including "Paw-Paw." She still hasn't said Ma-Ma but I'm not giving up yet!

BUSTED!

Ella is now crawling all over the place and getting into EVERYTHING! One of her newest discoveries is the dog's food & water bowls. She loves to splash in their water and then put their food in the water and watch it float around. Daddy caught her in the act so he put the dog bowls on top of the table and it made her so mad! She then crawled over to the table and pulled herself up looking for the bowls. Everytime she gets out of our sight she's headed for the dog food!

Happy Easter!

We woke up Easter morning to a basket full of goodies that the Easter Bunny left for Ella. We then got all dressed up in our Easter outfits and went to church to celebrate the true meaning of Easter! Ella enjoyed singing and dancing to the praise music. After church we enjoyed spending time with family and eating lots of yummy food! As you can see in our family picture, Cory was a good sport and joined us girls in wearing PINK! We hope everyone had a blessed Easter holiday!!

"Here Comes Ella Cotton-tail"

Since Easter is right around the corner, I couldn't resist dressing Ella up and taking some pictures. One day she is going to look at some of these pictures and wonder what we were thinking.

Busy Bees...

The past 2 weeks have been busy around the Taylor house! Ella is keeping us busy chasing her around since she started crawling. The dogs are terrified that she's actually going to catch them. They are somewhat safe because she's not fast enough to keep up with them...YET! Not only is she crawling around everywhere, but she's pulling up on anything she can reach. We've had to re-decorate the house and eliminate anything sharp, heavy, etc. that could fall on her if she were to grab it. We constantly have to keep an eye on her because she's getting brave and trying to let go and stand alone. We've had several bumps but luckily no bruises!!

Ella has developed a true LOVE for music! She loves to sing and dance. This morning during church, Ella decided to sing along with the soloist. We forgot to take a pacifier so Nana and Ella had to sit in the vestibule until church was over. The preacher's sermon was on JOY and it was evident that Ella was full of JOY this morning! She's such a HAPPY baby and brings so much JOY into our lives!!

A Day At The Park...

What a beautiful day it was today...sunny and 70 degrees! It felt like Spring already! After church, we decide to go to the walking park for an afternoon stroll since it was so nice outside. While Nana and Sandra speed-walked, Ella and I fed the ducks and strolled around taking in the warm, fresh air. Ella LOVED watching the ducks. I think they were pretty excited to see food thrown their way (even though the signs said not to feed the ducks...whoops!) I look forward to Spring so we can get out to the park more often!

Trying to figure out what this stuff on the ground is?!
