The Strawberry Patch

Woohoo!  It’s strawberry season!!  We love, love, love strawberries at our house!  We went to the strawberry patch to pick strawberries to make jam.  It was super hot but so much fun!  Ella was a great strawberry picker and filled her basket up quickly!  Evan…well…let's just say he sampled every berry he picked :)

It didn’t take Evan long to realize that eating was better than picking…

When we went to pay for our berries, I offered to pay for the “bucket” Evan ate.  He had evidence all over his face, hands and shirt! 

Kindergarten Awards Day

I have to start by saying…I am one PROUD Momma!!  Today was Awards Day at Ella’s school and we got to see our little kindergartener “graduate” to 1st grade.  I can’t believe Ella’s first year of school is already over!  As a student, I can remember thinking the years went by so slow but as a parent, this year has flown by!!  Ella received her kindergarten certificate, Music achievement award, and a Presidential Physical Fitness award.  She also received 1st place in reading for her class.  She started reading last year in preschool and was started in the Accelerated Reading Program this year.  She read all year and took tests to assess her understanding of the books.  She got recognized for this achievement and received a $20 gift card to Barnes and Noble.  So very proud of my girl!!!

School’s Out For Summer!

 

StarSteps Recital

Ella performed in Starstep’s 16th annual recital this weekend.  She had 3 performances including ballet, tap and gymnastics.  We are so proud of our little ballerina!  She did a fabulous job and got recognized for 3 years of dance.  I love to watch her dance…she dances like nobody is watching!!
