All Wrapped Up
I’m going to have a little Oprah moment and tell everyone about one of my FAVORITE things…but since I don’t have her financial funds I can’t give a ton of these away! Sorry blog buddies! I am in LOVE with my Moby Wrap!! A friend told me about it and I had to see what all this hype was about. When I opened the package, it was a huge piece of fabric and I immediately thought this is going to be a disaster! I got the instruction manual out and began wrapping myself in what seemed like endless yards of fabric. Once I got all wrapped up, I couldn’t figure out how to get Evan in it…haha! So after trying several times, I realized I had the fabric backwards! The “pocket” was pointing down instead of up! I have to admit that I sometimes don’t read ALL the directions :) So, I would recommend actually reading ALL the directions before spending an hour trying to figure out how to get out of the wrap…haha! Once I got it all figured out and got Evan in it, he loved it! He’s spoiled because I hold him all the time so now I can have him all bundled up and have my hands free! I have a Bjorn carrier from when Ella was a baby but it’s so hard to get the baby in and out of by yourself. So, I never use it. Now that I have the Moby wrap figured out, I use it all the time!
I had Cory take this picture because it looks like Evan is trying to escape…he was trying to sit up in there (overlook the fact that it’s a horrible picture of me)! We’ve had more practice since then and he looks a lot more comfortable now…haha!!
Santa Claus is Coming To Town…
…and it didn’t go as PLANNED!! A couple weeks ago, we went and had pictures made with Santa Claus. Ella talked all week about sitting on Santa’s lap and telling him what she wanted for Christmas. She was so excited! Well…we walked in the door and she saw Santa and froze! She had a melt down and said she didn’t like Santa Claus and that he was scary!! The minute we left, she said she wanted to go back and sit on Santa’s lap :)
So, here’s our 2010 picture with Santa…I love the expression on her face…LOL!!
Evan LOVED Santa! He would just lay there and stare at him…next year will probably be a different story! Here’s my little Santa Baby...

Ella 3 & 1/2 Years Old
You love to DANCE! You put on performances and EVERYONE has to be watching. When you are finished you tell us all to clap and cheer! You twirl around the living room in your tutus and dresses…you’re a natural dancer! And if you do fall, you always point your toes just like Aunt Candy told you to do :) You love your dance class with Mrs. Michelle. Mommy thinks you’re the best one in the class! I can’t wait to see you all dressed up dancing your little heart out at your recital! Mommy loves “evacuating the dance floor” with you!
You love to do “homework.” We practice writing our letters, numbers, and words. Mommy writes the letters and numbers and you do such a good job tracing them. Your new favorite word to write is Evan :) We have started reading and you are so funny sounding out your letters! You’re catching on fast…before long you’ll be reading Mommy and Daddy a bedtime story!
You are obsessed with your HAIR! It has to be fixed a certain way and if it’s not fixed to suit you…well, you’ll let us know! You love your hair being in a ponytail as tight as we can get it. You have such pretty, long hair and I have to beg you to let me fix it down. You are also obsessed with dresses and flip-flops! When you get home from preschool, you want a dress, flip-flops, and your hair in a ponytail.
You are still adjusting to having a little brother. It has been a hard transition for you, but you are a great big sister! You don’t like to hear Evan cry and you’ll do your best to console him. You sing to him and it’s the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard! You want to hold him, talk to him, and give him lots of kisses. He is very lucky to have such a good Big Sister!
As much as you love to dance, you also love to sing! You have the sweetest little voice! You love listening to Daddy’s iPod and you even have your own playlist. You can actually operate the iPod better than I can!! You know all the words to most of Zac Brown Band’s songs and Sugarland. You don’t like listening to songs just once but over and over again! You’re a music lover just like your Daddy! You love riding to preschool with him because you “jam” all the way there.
Ella, you are my girl! I love dressing up, dancing, and acting silly with you! You are so full of energy and your little personality lights up a room! You are one of a kind, kiddo! I love you to the moon and back!
One of Life’s Precious Moments…
This morning while we were lying in bed, Ella asked me if she could hold Evan. So, I got her positioned and put him in her lap. She immediately hugged him and said, “Evan, I love you and I could squeeze the poop out of you!” He smiled so big at her…it was so precious!! What a great way to start out a Monday morning!!

2 Months Old
Little Evan is growing by the minute! He has changed so much over the last month. Every day he looks different!! One day I think he looks like Cory and the next day he looks like me! Sometimes I can’t get over how much he looks like Ella did when she was a baby :)
Evan is a MAMA’S BOY already!! And I’m so in love with my little man! He’s also stole his Daddy and Big Sister’s heart too!!
Evan at 2 months…
- Weight: 10 lbs. and 11 oz.
- Height: 22.5 inches
- You are wearing size 1-2 diapers and size 0-3 month clothes. You’ve outgrown a few of your 0-3 month sleepers…just in the feet :) You’ve got little monkey toes that can’t stretch out in there! You can blame both your Mommy and Daddy for those long skinny toes!
- You have found your hands and can’t keep them out of your mouth! You try so hard to get that little thumb in your mouth and eventually are successful after gnawing your fist for a while. It reminds me so much of your Uncle Matt :) The only bad part about your new hand obsession is all this drooling you’re doing!
- You still love bath time! Almost every time you get in the tub you poop on me! One night it took me 3 tubs of water to get you bathed.
- You have started smiling and cooing at us when we talk to you! There is nothing sweeter than that little baby smile :) It absolutely melts my heart every time I see that little smile!! You try so hard to talk to Ella and you love listening to her talk to you! Those little eyes follow every step she makes.
- You are staying awake more during the day and love laying on your play mat. You keep those little arms and legs going non-stop! I hope this isn’t a sign of things to come :)
- You have slept through the night several times! Mommy is loving the extra sleep!!
- You are still eating every 3 hours during the day and about every 5 hours at night.
- You are the SWEETEST and most content baby! You only cry when you are really hungry! You get this from your Daddy :) He gets all worked up over food too!
- Your nickname has become “Little Brother”
- You are a “Mama’s Boy!” When you are sleepy you want to cuddle up close to me and I love it! Daddy says you don’t like cuddling with him because he doesn’t have any “cushioning” on his chest.
I found my hand!
Love my paci :)
