Happy 2nd Birthday Jackson!

It's "O-Fish-al" we had a BLAST at Jackson's 2nd birthday party!! Jackson had a fish themed swimming party at Tanglewood Park's Aquatic Center. Unfortunately, we missed the cake and getting to sing "Happy Birthday" because we stopped on I-40 for a wreck that happened right in front of us. Cory was the first medical trained person on the scene so he got out and did his thing! I listened to Ella make siren noises the entire time we were parked on the side of I-40 because we were surrounded by ambulances and fire trucks. I'm glad Cory was there to help even though it put us getting to the party a little late. Once we got there, Ella hit the pool wide open! Ella LOVED the kiddie pool area!! She had so much fun playing with Daddy, Jackson, and the other kiddos at the pool. It was such a fun place to have a birthday party! Happy Birthday, Jackson!! We had so much fun making a splash with you!!!

I don't understand why we have to take a 15 minute break!!

Daddy, Ella, John, and Jackson (I took several pictures and didn't manage to get a one of all 4 of them looking at the camera)

Jackson was so cute...he opened up and looked at every single card like he was reading it!

Thanks Nana P for the ice cream cone!! Yummy...chocolate!

Now...it's time for the big boys to have fun!

It's a bird, it's a plane, no it's SUPER DAD!

2 years + 1 month

I can't believe it's already been a month since Ella's 2nd birthday?! She loves playing dress up in this pettiskirt and could live in my jewelry box. The girl is CRAZY over the bling!! She's learned at an early age that a diamond is a girl's best friend :) Wonder where she gets it from?! Ella's newest obsession is dancing! I think we have a future ballerina on our hands. I have to say though that the girl can shake her booty, too :) She definately doesn't get that from her Mommy or Daddy!! Me, Aunt Ashley, and Ella danced like nobody was watching tonight and sang at the top of our lungs! Girls nights are so much fun!!!

Molar Misery

Poor Ella had an extremely fussy weekend! She woke up Saturday morning and she cried off and on (more on than off!) all weekend. We had a busy weekend planned with 2 Couple Wedding Showers to go to. We went to Charlotte on Saturday night for one of the showers. We had so much fun, but it was hard leaving Ella knowing she wasn't feeling good. Thank goodness for Mimi and Paw-Paw for helping us out so we could get away for a little while. Tonight I finally got a peek at what has been torturing Ella all weekend...looks like she's getting a new tooth!

Finally a SMILE!!! I'll be glad when this molar misery is over!! Poor Ella Baby!

Monday Fun Day

What a beautiful day we were blessed with today! Ella woke up this morning asking if Gracie could come play with her. So, we called Gracie and her Mommy said she could come play! Ella was so excited! The girls had so much fun playing together! They played on the playset, decorated the driveway with sidewalk chalk, blew bubbles, and enjoyed popsicles. Then the girls came inside for a snack and decided to give Molly (one of our dogs) a birthday party. They baked her a cake in Ella's kitchen and then sang Happy Birthday to her. It was so cute! They made me lunch and it was delicious! We then went for a wagon ride and sang all through the neighborhood at the top of our lungs. It was such a MONDAY FUN DAY!!!

Gracie pushing Ella HIGH!!! Ella loved going high and begged Gracie to push her higher!

The girls were being silly and sticking their popsicles on their noses! Silly girls!

"Thomas, Thomas, Thomas!" That's all we've heard since we went to see Thomas the Train at Tweetsie. My girly girl is obsessed with Thomas the Train! We have Thomas books, movies, trains...and now a ride-on Thomas with a real train track! Ella was so excited she didn't know what to do! We had to convince her that Thomas was asleep so we could charge his battery. She even hugged and kissed him goodnight while we let him charge. As soon as she got up from her nap, she wanted to ride on Thomas! She rode around and around the track until Thomas' battery died. How do you tell a 2 year old that the battery is dead and she'll have to wait until tomorrow to ride Thomas again?!

Only Pick the Purple Ones

Ella LOVES, LOVES, LOVES blueberries! Mimi and Paw-Paw have blueberry bushes at their house and Ella loves to take her bucket and go pick blueberries. As soon as she gets out of the car, she makes a mad dash out to the bushes. Today she told me..."Mommy only pick purple ones!" It was the cutest thing! No matter who is picking berries with her you have to put all of them in her bucket :) She actually does really good only picking the ripe blueberries (the purple ones!)
