Choo-Choo! Evan is TWO!!!

 I can’t believe my sweet baby boy is 2 already!  We celebrated his special day with trains, trains, and more trains!

Did I mention that Evan really didn’t want his picture made that day?!  And when I say really…I mean really! :)

 

The day of Evan’s party it rained all morning but thankfully the rain stopped and we saw a little sunshine before the rain set back in.  We had lots of great food…Chick-fil-a chicken minis and nuggets, guacamole dip/chips and lots of sweet treats!  A special thank you to Janna Banana for catering for us :)

Thomas the Train was a hit with the kids!  I found him at Once Upon a Child several years ago and he’s been a favorite toy!

 

 

Evan loves tractors (even more than trains!) So as a special birthday gift, we bought Evan his very own tractor like Paw-Paw Jeff’s.  The smile on his little face was priceless!!

Introducing…

Otis Blueberry Taylor

Otis is the newest addition to our family!  He’s a 3 month old black lab that needed a good home so we picked him up and brought him home!  He’s a sweet and full of energy puppy!  So far I’ve only found one of my flip flops with teeth marks in the yard :)  The kids have a new friend…Evan has picked Otis’ nose, wrestled him to the ground, and exchanged licks.  Ella loves dragging him around on his leash.  He’s a good puppy and lets them love all over him.  Welcome to this wild and crazy family, Otis!!

First Day of Kindergarten

Today was Ella’s first day of kindergarten!  As much as Ella has anticipated this day, I have dreaded it equally as much.  I just can’t wrap my mind around the fact that she’s old enough to be going to school!  Ella was excited and nervous about what to expect at big school.  She asked a million questions on the way to school and it was all I could do to answer them without crying!  When we got to the school, it was all I could do to hold it together.  She was super excited and walked right in her classroom to a room full of eager kindergarteners.  No tears and no looking back.  I think she even rushed me along a little because I wanted to take a thousand pictures :)  As I walked down the hall I was talking away to Cory only to realize he wasn’t with me but was still standing outside Ella’s classroom watching her.  I’m glad I wasn’t the only one having a hard time leaving.  I would have to say that leaving that school without her was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done!  2:30 couldn’t come soon enough!! 

Ella was so excited to have one of her best friends from SYC in her classroom. (and even more excited that they were sitting next to each other!)

 

From the smile on this face, I could tell she was going to be just fine…

Ella had a great first day of school!  She made lots of new friends and got to see some of her friends from preschool.  She is excited about going back tomorrow :)
