For several weeks now, Ella has been trying so hard to crawl. She would get up on her hands and knees and rock back and forth but never actually moved. But...yesterday she finally took off. Ella is ON THE MOVE!!! She would move forward a little ways and stop at first, but now she's all over the place. She tries to go so fast that her hands get ahead of her feet and she falls over. She's a trooper though because she gets back up and keeps a goin'. She has so much to explore! Cory and I spent today finishing up child-proofing the house. I think we are all ready for Ella's new adventures!

"da-da-da-da"
Ella's jabber has turned into actual words that we can understand! After many months of jabbering, Ella has figured out how to say "da-da" and "hey." She's even said "Hey da-da" a couple times. Cory was so excited and continues to rub it in my face that she said "da-da" before "ma-ma." It doesn't surprise me because I hear Cory sneaking around saying it to her ALL the time :) The other morning he was feeding her and he said "Daddy" over and over (I stopped counting after the 1oth time).

Tooth #2
Daddy discovered Ella's second tooth today! It seemed like it took her forever to get teeth but now they're popping up everywhere! We finally got a picture of Ella smiling and showing her 2 teeth.
Look at that wild girl hair :)
Princess Ella
Grandpa Johnson calls Ella "Princess" so I couldn't resist dressing her up! She is definately our little princess...

Happy Birthday, Grandma Grace!
Today we went to Winston-Salem to celebrate Great-Grandma Grace's birthday. We met for lunch and had a great time seeing everyone! Ella also got to play with her cousin Jackson. They enjoyed trying to get each other's pacifier out of their mouths. It was so cute! After lunch Ella got to go show off all her new tricks to her Nana-P & Grandpa. She rolled all around their living room checking everything out. She really wanted to play with Grandpa's DVD player :) After a long day of visiting & playing, Ella slept all the way home! She was one tired little girl!

Ella's First Tooth!
After a couple months of determination and hard work, Ella finally cut her first tooth! She has been chewing on everything for the last couple months...pacifiers, bottle nipples, teething rings, hands, toys, and even a dog bone :) Earlier today I thought I saw something in her mouth, but she wouldn't be still long enough for me to check it out. So, her Nana was the first one to actually catch a glimpse of this pearly white! Now comes the fun part, trying to brush those little teeth! I think that will be a good job for Daddy!! Hopefully we can get some pictures of her new tooth soon.

Ella and Molly
Ella and Molly have become such good friends over the past 6 months. Mattie is the dominant female so it's not surprising that she ignores Ella and acts like she's not here. We often joke saying Ella's first words are going to be "barks" because Mattie and Molly are yappy little dogs. Molly loves to lick Ella and Ella just laughs. It is so funny! When I was pregnant Molly would love to lay on my belly and several times Ella kicked her and she would turn and growl at my belly. I believe they were friends even before they met!! Maybe Mattie and Ella will become better friends over time :)
